Port Isaac & Port Gaverne

A unique collection of home movie footage recording life and events in one community during the 1930s, 40s and 50s. These extracts are from the Larkin family film collection and are a reminder of the past life of Port Isaac and Port Gaverne. They were shot between 1932 and 1959 and explore the places and faces of the village and work and leisure activities as well as village events such as the celebrations of the coronation of George VI in 1937. They provide a fascinating social history as well as a wander down memory lane. One of the series 'Places of the South West by the South West Film and Television Archive (SWFTA)
